Mohamed Amin Abdullah is currently the Advisor of HSSE Culture & Communication in PETRONAS Group Health, Safety, Security & Environment based in PETRONAS Twin Towers, Kuala Lumpur.
He has been with PETRONAS for the past 31 years working in various positions in PETRONAS Gas, Malaysia LNG, Petrochemical (PC MTBE Malaysia), Group Technology Solutions (Corporate) and Upstream business (PETRONAS Carigali Sarawak Operations), international operations management, as well as HSE management.
Prior to this role, he was the Senior General Manager of PETRONAS Group Health, Safety & Environment (2016-2018), CEO of PETRONAS PICL (Egypt) and Chairman of PETRONAS’ Egypt Operations (2012 to 2015), the General Manager of PETRONAS Carigali Sarawak Operations (2009 to 2011), and the General Manager of PETRONAS’ Group Technology Solutions (2007 to 2009). He was with PETRONAS Operating Performance Improvement, an organization transformation team (2004- 2007). He has also worked in the Petrochemical, LNG and Gas industry from 1988 to 2003 in various positions & locations in PETRONAS. He is currently a Committee Member of the Malaysian National Environmental Quality Council, a Director in PIMMAG (Petroleum Industry of Malaysia Mutual Aid Group) Board and on the Executive Committee of IPIECA, the global oil and gas industry association for environmental and social issues based in London.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Cardiff University (UK) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Lamar University (Texas, USA)
