Mohamed Amin Abdullah is the Advisor of Health, Safety, Security and Environment at PETRONAS Group HSSE in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He has been with PETRONAS for the past 32 years in various positions in Downstream, Upstream, International and corporate functions.
Prior to this role, he was the Senior General Manager, PETRONAS Group HSE (2016-18), CEO and Chairman, PETRONAS Egypt Operations (2012-15), General Manager, PETRONAS Carigali, Sarawak (2009-11), General Manager of PETRONAS Group Technology Solutions (2007- 2009), Senior Manager, OPI, PETRONAS organization transformation program, (2004- 2007), Project Management, plant operations and management in Petrochemical, LNG & Gas projects & plants (1988-2003), Committee Member of the Malaysian National Environmental Quality Council (2016-2018), a Director in PIMMAG (Petroleum Industry of Malaysia Mutual Aid Group) Board (2016-19) and the Executive Committee of IPIECA, the global oil and gas industry association for environmental and social issues (2016-18) and Member of several Board of Directors in Egypt (2012-2016) for PETRONAS PICL(Egypt), Egyptian LNG, Egyptian Burullus and Egyptian El Beheira companies
He holds an MBA from Cardiff University (UK) and a B Sc in Chemical Engineering from Lamar University, Texas, USA. Currently, also an Adjunct Professor at Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (Marine Science and Environment Faculty) and Industry Advisory Panel for Universiti Malaysia Sarawak
