Fatima lives to make a change; an environmental scientist, Fatima chairs the Youth Council and leads the Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Department at Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (SEWA). She is the first female to work in the SHE field and was selected for her unique competencies in promoting a better environment at SEWA. Fatima launched the First GRI Approved Sustainability Report in the city of Sharjah and continues to work on numerous achievements. Just recently she had championed the United Nations Climate Neutral Now (CNN) Project to reduce Green House Gas Emissions and obtain Certified Emission Reductions. This highlighted SEWA as the first entity in the Middle East to achieve the CNN Status. Her ambition to reach authenticity led her to design SEWA SHE Model, a special five elements plan for people, safety and the environment. Fatima is an active member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment, and the Energy Managers Association in the UK. As the Chief SHEngineering Officer, Fatima also spends her time introducing innovative topics in SEWA and implementing fire protection in more than 200 power stations.
