Bruce Basaraba has more than 40 years of environmental and safety management, human resources, employee development and training, operations, maintenance and project management experience worldwide.
He began his career in 1972 in the energy and resource sector in industrial engineering and maintenance. Since then Mr. Basaraba has held senior management positions in the international petroleum industry, coal mining in Canada, international gold and uranium mining and in technical and vocational training and HSSE consulting. He holds a Master Degree in Administration from San Diego State University, Bachelor Degree in Vocational and Adult Education from the University of Alberta and a Diploma in Industrial Mechanics.
His current role is the Head of HSSE and Sustainability for Dana Gas, where he is responsible for the direction, leadership and accountability of the group’s performance for HSSE and sustainability.
Mr. Basaraba has authored eight technical books and training manuals on workplace safety, industrial maintenance and rotating equipment systems since 1988.
